Creating Something New: Cared Humanity Launch

Head Over Heels Excited about Cared Humanity.jpgAyden, Grade 1

I believe that movements happen in moments. This is a special moment for me and the Care Revolutionaries Community. Today, I launch a new project into the world, my first creative entrepreneurial venture!! It’s the formal beginning of something I’ve been working on for a while now. Cared Humanity – the business, the blog, and the ‘birthing’ of a care revolution – is officially open. I want to say thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, challenged me, supported me, and, especially, had such faith in me. I’m grateful for the team behind me who ask for no recognition and seek no reward, but offer their time, their energies, and put their trust in me. Special mention to Bryan and Jill: I could not do any of this without you.

For me, Cared Humanity represents the possibility of the human caring spirit, the transformative power of care and how collective energy can change the world. No big deal, right?! I want to live in a more caring and just world. I am not alone in this vision. We can, and do, create communities of care. I’ll be sharing illustrations of people and places living BOLD with care. I’m sooo excited about our first feature for April!!

Caring transforms what “is” into what “could be”

Cared Humanity is about you and me

with care we can flourish and thrive

Care is our shared responsibility.

For me, Cared Humanity represents helping people be bold with care. Relations of caring are our common thread as human beings. Without care, there is no love, no compassion, no meaning. The power of care can transform our lives and our world.

This poem reflects some of the feelings I have about my own journey to get my head and heart around care.

Care is a science.

Care is an art.

Care is where the head meets the heart.

Caring is universal.

Caring is fundamental.

Deep caring is the best of our human potential.

We all need care.

Through care we feel.

With care we heal.

My work is about the meaning and the making of care in our lives.

To value and humanize caring is beautiful and wise.

Being bold, with care

together we can get there!

For me, Cared Humanity represents courage, commitment and my own willingness to be bold with care.

Congratulations on the first step of a thousand in this journey (I know it’s not the first step and yet there are truly a thousand still to come)!

I’m so happy for you on the “birth” of this great adventure you have chosen to undertake. I really like that – boldly care. I promise to do more of that everyday! Thank you for putting it out into the world!! Congrats.
